Written by Monash University Hockey Club
The Monash University Hockey Club was officially formed in 1994 with the amalgamation of the men's and women's hockey clubs (origins going back to 1962). We now boast over 200 members and field 7 men's teams and 8 women's teams. No matter what your level of ability or commitment, we have a team to suit you. As with many Monash University sporting teams, we call ourselves "The Farmers" and our home ground at the Clayton campus of Monash University is known affectionately as "The Farmdome".

We enter teams not only in the Hockey Victoria, but also a number of other competitions throughout the year - some serious and some not. For more information, please check out the Prospective Members section.

Facilities

One reason for our popularity is our outstanding facilities. We have one of the few state-of-the-art FIH approved water-based turfs in Melbourne. Our new clubhouse also features a well-stocked licenced canteen at outrageously low prices. Speaking of which, we have no training fees, game fees, or other charges associated with playing hockey. We even supply gear to our goalies as we realise the expense of this position.
