CAPS BACKGROUND
Monash Hockey Club relies on the voluntary participation from its members in the core activities of:
- Committee participation
- Coaching
- Umpiring
- Canteen duty
- Fundraising
- General Tasks
- Social events
Traditionally, Monash Hockey has had ample participation in the fields of playing hockey and, to a varying degree, social events. However, there has been a long standing struggle to recruit the required participation in the remaining activities. During the November 2007 Committee Handover Meeting the concept of a ‘points system’ for club participation was conceived.
Each club member is to pay for 10 Club Accreditation Points (CAPs) before the commencement of the playing season. Payment will be incorporated in Club Fees.
As at January 1, 2008, 1 CAP = AUS $5
