Round 2 saw Monash Hockey Club Farmers come together to battle it out in our Farmdome round. The day saw some great success from our Mens Vic League 2 teams.
The men started off the day, showing their skill and determination to take a 2-0 win against Melbourne High in the Vic League 2 Reserves. Our top mens team then continued the success to claim a 3-2 win.
The Women’s Vic League 1 team then came out against Yarra Valley, with a tough and rough match seeing Yarra take the win 5-0. In the reserves it was a much closer game with a loss of just 2-1.
In the Mens Pennant B MCC won 8-0 and in the Metro A Greensborough took the lead with a 3-1 win.
The Women’s Pennant D, MCC Hockey Section won 2-0 and the in the Metro B South competition our girls had a close encounter with the Bayside Cougars losing just 4-3.
In our masters, the Mens BNW had an unfortunate loss to MUHC 3-0. The Monash BSE got a goal on the board but couldn’t quite push through losing 5-1.
The Women’s teams had more success in the Masters A it was a tight 1-1 draw with Kew and the BSE division had a 0-0 draw with Mentone Gold.
