Make sure you get to Melbourne High School at 2:30pm on Saturday to support The Fighting Tambourines in their semi-final!
Check out the other finals results below.
Monash’s trophy quest kicked off last Friday night as our U14s played against Mentone.
The undefeated Mentone team went into half-time 2-0 up, and while Dylan Booth managed to peg a goal back in the farmers’ favour, the U14s went down fighting 4-1.
On Saturday the Womens Pennant D side, affectionately known as The Fighting Tambourines, played ECHO in the 3v4 playoff.
It was barely a contest as the girls smashed in three goals thanks to Gabby Sylivris, Emma Lightbody and Isabella Stewart.
Monash will come up against MUHC in what will be a hot contest, with MUHC having the higher ladder position but Monash having beaten MUHC in both of their regular season match-ups!
Also on Saturday the Mens Vic League 2 Reserves side played against Knox at Hedley Hull Field.
It was a microcosm of the season as the boys had the run of play for much of the game and generated many chances, but were only able to convert one into a goal.
Knox managed to capitalise on their shots on goal and pulled it back to a 1-1 score, with the game to be decided by a shootout.
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be, with Monash losing the penalties 2-3 and coming up short of the semi-final.
