a super duper Women’s VP

Our AGM is happening Nov 12 and we have some committee position up for grabs! Over the next month, the available positions will be featured in this event so you can suss your options and be ready to put your hand up!

POSITION: Women’s Vice President

Steph has been a super duper Women’s VP this year but is finishing up with uni and won’t have as much time for the role next year. Time to pass the baton over! Cheers to you too, Steph!

KEY TASKS?
– Writing Facebook posts;
– Administration things;
– Liaising with players and coaches and making sure everyone is included, and;
– Occasional problem solving to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

HOW IT WILL LOOK GOOD ON YOUR RESUME:
This role has definitely helped me develop stakeholder and negotiation skills but has also developed my organisation, time management and communication skills. At a smaller level, it’s good for practising your email writing skills!

HOURS PER WEEK:
The hours varied throughout the year – the busiest time was getting everyone registered at the start of the season and then it was about 1-2 hr/week for the rest of the year.

celebrating success – courtney knowler

Congrats to Courtney for making it into the 2018 Women’s Australian Hockey League, Australia’s month-long elite competition! Courtney is representing NT and their first game of the competition is TONIGHT in Darwin against the Vic Vipers. Good luck Courts, you’ll smash it!

Reminder for Farmers Cup

Fees are now $70 for the season – Monday nights from October 8th to November 19th (Excl. Mon November 5th), including finals.
